Traffic Surveys in Warbleton villages

Traffic speed through our villages is regularly raised as an issue with councillors. The Parish Council has, therefore, responded to this feedback and agreed at its recent Council meeting to request a traffic survey for both Rushlake Green and Bodle Street Green. Whilst each survey costs £410, it was felt that the surveys would give valuable information about traffic and speed which can better inform Council prioritioes and public infiormation.

These surveys would be conducted by East Sussex CC Highways. The equipment used would be attached to a piece of street furniture and record vehicle numbers in both directions and the speeds they are travelling. The equipment would also record vehicle lengths which provide a good idea of the type of vehicle.
